Photography & Video Policy

The Poway Community Foundation may photograph, record, or livestream portions of its events and activities for the purpose of promoting its mission and documenting community engagement.

By attending a Poway Community Foundation event, you acknowledge and agree that photographs, video, and audio recordings may be captured in public areas and may be used by the Foundation without compensation. These materials may appear in:

  • The Poway Community Foundation website

  • Social media platforms

  • Newsletters and annual reports

  • Event promotions

  • Grant and sponsorship materials

  • Press releases and other communications

We strive to capture images respectfully and professionally. Media is used to highlight the Foundation’s programs, community involvement, sponsors, volunteers, and the positive impact of our work.

Children and Families

Children under the age of 18 may appear in general event photographs taken in public areas. We make every effort to use such images respectfully and avoid identifying minors by full name without the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Parents or guardians who prefer that their child not be photographed are encouraged to notify event staff upon arrival. While we cannot guarantee that a child will not appear incidentally in crowd or wide-angle photographs, we will make reasonable efforts to honor requests regarding identifiable images.
